Braised pork trotters
Overview
Tupiao is the name of the Jiangnan area, which is also called elbow in the north. Pig trotters are very nutritious and contain a lot of protein, especially collagen. Like pork skin, they are a good food therapy product for making the skin plump and moist. Braised Hoof Pork, my husband wanted to eat Hoof Pork, and I happened to have a pot of old brine at home, so I bought one. I thawed the frozen old brine and added some seasonings. It is simple and convenient to make. After the marinade is done, wait until it cools down before slicing and eating. The meat is fresh and tender, the skin is chewy, fat but not greasy. I also ate several pieces even though I don’t usually eat fatty meat.
