Overview

Although I am from the South, my family is not resistant to pasta, and I personally like to study how to make pasta. I have been learning constantly recently.

  2. Use a food processor to puree the pumpkin.

  3. Put the pumpkin puree into a bowl, add yeast and stir evenly.

  4. Then add flour, sugar, and butter in sequence (the butter has been heated in advance and turned into liquid).

  5. Use chopsticks to stir continuously to form a loose dough.

  6. Then knead the dough with your hands until it is "three smooth" (i.e. hand light, basin light, surface light). Cover the kneaded dough with plastic wrap and rest for 5 minutes.

  7. Roll the dough into a rectangle first, fold it in half, and roll it into a rectangle again. (This process is called "pressing the dough." The steamed buns produced in this way will have uniform and fine holes inside, and the appearance will be finer. During the process of rolling out the dough, you need to constantly remove some dry flour to prevent the dough from sticking to the work surface).

  8. Brush a layer of water on the surface to help the dough adhere. Roll the rolled dough into a cylindrical shape.

  9. Cut the dough into pieces as you like.

  10. Place in a steamer and ferment for about 30 minutes. It can be fermented to 1.5-2 times its original size.

  11. After the dough has fermented, steam over high heat for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and simmer for another 3 minutes.
