Marshmallow version of walnut sesame candy
Overview
Winter is here, and my family has bought a lot of whole grains such as walnuts and sesame powder. My mother said it was boring to eat these every day, so she asked me to make them into sesame candies, which would be more convenient to eat and taste better. So I followed the recipe of nougat and made a marshmallow version of sesame candy. It not only tastes good, but is also very simple to make.

Steps
-
Roast the peanuts and remove the red coating, roast the walnuts, weigh them separately, mix and set aside (adjust the proportion of peanuts and walnuts according to your own taste, the total amount is between 250-300 grams).
-
Weigh 300 grams of marshmallows and set aside
-
Take 50 grams of lard and melt it in a pot over low heat. I ran out of butter at home, otherwise I can use butter. Because black sesame seeds taste better with lard, I chose lard instead of other fats.
-
Weigh out 180 grams of sesame powder and set aside
-
Pour the marshmallows into the melted lard and cook the marshmallows slowly over low heat
-
When the marshmallow becomes a soft liquid, pour in the black sesame powder and mix quickly
-
Pour walnuts and peanuts into the black sesame sugar solution, stir quickly and evenly. Be sure to complete the mixing before the sugar solution cools and hardens.
-
Pour the mixed mixture into a mold lined with oil paper, then cover it with oil paper, and press and shape it with a rectangular lunch box (this step requires quick operation, so I didn’t take pictures)
-
After cooling, cut into small pieces with a knife
