  1. Wash the pomfret, make two cuts on the back, rub salt all over the body, add ginger slices and marinate for 15 minutes

  3. Heat oil in a pan, add pomfret and fry over low heat until browned on both sides

  4. In another pot, add onion, ginger and garlic and stir-fry until fragrant

  6. Add light soy sauce, pepper, water to cover half of the fish body and simmer over medium-low heat, turning once in the middle
