Except for black sesame seeds, pour all ingredients into the bread machine bucket in the order of water, salt, sugar, flour, and yeast. Start kneading and fermentation function. About 1 hour and 20 minutes.

While the dough is fermenting, fry the black sesame seeds and mash them slightly.

Stir in some sugar and set aside

Take out the fermented dough from the bread machine.

Use rubbing method to release air

Divide into two portions, cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 10 minutes. Roll out into a rectangle.

Brush the surface with a light layer of water to make the surface of the dough sticky.

Sprinkle black sesame seeds and white sugar evenly. Press lightly with the back of a spoon.

Starting from the long side, roll it up tightly.

The rolled dough is then kneaded neatly until it reaches the ideal steamed bun size.

Use a sharp knife to cut out the steamed bun embryo.

Arrange into the steamer, leaving a proper distance between the steamed buns.

Cover and let the steamed buns rest for 20 minutes at room temperature. When you open it, you can see that the steamed buns have fermented and become larger. Pour cold water into the pot and steam over high heat for 15 minutes. After steaming, wait about 3 minutes before opening the lid.
