Christmas Frosted Cookies
Overview
Christmas is coming soon, so I tried making frosted cookies. This is my first challenge to make frosting cookies. There are so many excellent teachers’ recipes on them, so I’m really embarrassed to post this one. But this is my first time and I want to keep it as a souvenir. Also letting friends who have just learned how to make frosting see it will increase their confidence, haha.

Steps
-
Sift the low flour and set aside.
-
Once the butter has softened, mix with the sugar. Beat until light in color and fluffy and feathery.
-
Add 50 grams of sifted flour.
-
Beat the eggs.
-
Add the whole egg mixture in portions.
-
Beat until completely combined.
-
Add 280 grams of sifted flour.
-
Use a spatula to mix evenly into a dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for about 1 hour until it is ready to use.
-
Use stiffer white paper to draw Christmas characters and cut them out for later use.
-
Take out the dough, roll it out into a 0.5 cm thick sheet through the plastic wrap, and put it in the refrigerator for 5 minutes.
-
Take out the dough piece and cut out the model.
-
Preheat the oven to 165° for 15 minutes. Let cool after baking.
-
Prepare white chocolate and melt the chocolate over water.
-
While it's hot, make the snowflakes, Santa's beard, hat, gloves, shoes and other places that need white color.
-
Make the frosting. 14 grams of egg white, 100 grams of icing sugar, a few drops of lemon juice.
-
Beat the egg whites into rough peaks.
-
Add icing sugar.
-
Add a few drops of lemon juice and stir. Use lemon juice to adjust the thickness of the frosting.
-
Adjust the frosting so that when you lift it up with a spoon and pour it down, the lines will not disappear immediately. (I made it a little thicker, because it’s my first time, so I don’t want to make it too thin, so I’ll get the hang of it slowly)
-
Put the mixed icing into piping bags respectively, add drops of different colors into each, mix thoroughly, and prepare for coloring.
-
First lay out the biscuits of the required red color and let them dry.
-
Initial results have been achieved.
-
Then I felt something, it was so fun.
-
Every time you use a color, it must be dry before applying another color, otherwise it will bloom.
-
Wow, it's done, so happy.
