Pumpkin filling candy cake
Overview
Sugar cakes are a snack that must be fried during the Dragon Boat Festival in my mother’s hometown. Every Dragon Boat Festival, my mother prepares flour and sugar early, and starts making noodles at home on the third day of May, and then mixes a large pot of dough. That’s dough for fried twists and burnt leaves. Mom usually boils water first. Use a large basin, pour flour into it, prepare chopsticks, and add boiling water while stirring constantly with chopsticks. When the flour is hot and soft and hard enough to knead into dough, mother will put the big basin aside and start frying the dough. We sisters would help our mother by playing with the sugar cakes or twists in the oil pan. After waiting for the first fried sugar cakes or twists, we would rush to taste them first. The fried sugar cakes were crispy on the outside, but filled with thick sugar water inside. As soon as they came out of the pan, we couldn't wait to bring them to our mouths, blowing them hard while blowing them cold, and then took a big bite! My mouth is full of sugary drinks and my hands are greasy. At this time, my mother will smile and say: She looks like a girl, all of them are greedy cats, there are so many, enough for you to eat for a few days. The fried sugar cakes were piled up in a dustpan, and the twists were piled in a big basket. The whole house was fragrant, and even the air had a sweet smell. Even the neighbors outside knew that my family was preparing to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival! Many of my childhood favorite delicacies that remain in my memory are now made by myself. Although they are still the same delicacies, they have a different taste when they are eaten in your mouth! Pumpkin is rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber. It has the effects of enhancing human body's anti-cancer, anti-cardiovascular disease, delaying aging and other effects. It can also remove dampness and remove parasites, reduce fever and stop dysentery, replenish vital energy, moisten the lungs and prevent miscarriage. It also has auxiliary effects on diabetes, hypertension, kidney disease, maternal agalactia, and whooping cough in children.
