Steps
-
Prepare all the ingredients, flour, pumpkin, sugar, yeast, water.
-
Peel, wash and cut the pumpkin into cubes and steam it in a steamer for 8 minutes.
-
Divide the flour, yeast, and white sugar into two parts. Use one part for the white dough and one part for the pumpkin dough. Dissolve the yeast in warm water.
-
Mash the steamed pumpkin into pumpkin puree with a small spoon.
-
Prepare the flour and start kneading the dough. Put the white sugar in. Mix the white dough first.
-
Make a small pit in the flour, pour the yeast water into it, and add a little more water appropriately. (Do not add water all at once to prevent adding too much. You can add it little by little in the middle of kneading the noodles)
-
After the white dough is mixed, the basin, hands, and dough should be light.
-
Put the white dough in a large bowl, put it into a steamer with water, cover the pot, turn off the heat for 2 minutes, and ferment for 45 minutes. (Rapid fermentation method is used here)
-
Start by making pumpkin dough. The method is the same as white dough, except that water is added to the white dough, and pumpkin is added here. (Be careful not to add water here, because there is enough water in the pumpkin)
-
The pumpkin dough is ready.
-
Put it into the steamer in the same way, turn on the heat for 2 minutes, turn off the heat, and wait for 45 minutes to ferment.
-
After 45 minutes, the dough is fermented.
-
The same goes for pumpkin dough. The fermented dough is 2-3 times the original size.
-
Please look at the picture, the fermented dough has a honeycomb shape inside.
-
Knead the fermented dough on the surface again.
-
Knead each into two thin slices.
-
Stack them together. (If you want it to look yellow, put the pumpkin on the bottom. If you want it to look white, put the white on the bottom.)
-
Roll from end to end.
-
After rolling it, cut it into steamed buns and steam them.
-
Before putting the steamed buns in, rub a little cooking oil on the steamer to prevent the steamed buns from sticking to the pan.
-
Put the steamed buns into the pot and steam for 10 minutes.
