Wash the clams and soak them in light salt water for two hours to spit out the sediment and wash them.

Slice garlic and pepper, cut chives into sections, wash basil and remove leaves for later use.

Heat a small amount of oil in a pot and sauté garlic slices, green onions and red pepper until fragrant.

Add dried clams and cook in beer.

Fry until each clam opens, add oyster sauce, light soy sauce, and sugar, stir-fry, cover and simmer for a while.

Once most of the clams have opened, add basil and stir-fry until evenly mixed.
