Purple Sweet Potato Layer Cake
Overview
When I was a kid, there were often people who would go around the streets to help make cakes. They had to provide the raw materials themselves and pay a processing fee. My mother would also make some high-hanging cakes, just to control our uncontrollable mouths. When we behaved well, she would take one out as a reward. Once my mother was not feeling well and came to stay with me for a while. On the night when she was about to go back, I made cakes and bread all night so that she could eat them for a while when she went back. Several years later, when my mother mentioned this, she still lamented my sleepless night! !
