【Tianjin】Original Boiled Shrimp
Overview
Fresh shrimp is not only delicious, but also has high nutritional value, and has both tonic and medicinal values. There are many ways to cook shrimp, and they are always delicious no matter how they are processed. My family likes to eat the original boiled shrimp, which is also the way many Tianjin people eat shrimp. This method is the simplest, most popular, most time-saving, and the shrimp tastes the most delicious. Although boiled shrimp is simple and delicious, there are still some tricks to taste the original delicious taste of shrimp: First, when boiling shrimp, no other seasonings are needed, only water and Sichuan peppercorns, which can remove fishy and enhance freshness. Too many types of seasonings can mask the delicious taste of the shrimp. Second, don’t use too much water. The maximum amount should be equal to that of shrimps. Too much water will leave the delicious flavor in the excess shrimp cooking water after the shrimps are cooked. Third, the cooking time of shrimp should not be long, just a few minutes. The shrimp cooked in this way can fully retain the delicious taste of the shrimp and ensure the tenderness of the shrimp meat.
