Northeastern rice dumplings
Overview
Northeastern rice dumplings are a vegetarian and traditional Northeastern snack. They are good for cleansing the intestines and are very simple to make. Authentic Northeastern rice buns are made from green cabbage leaves, but we don’t sell them here. I use leaf lettuce leaves, which are also very delicious. The portion I made is for about six people. You can make it according to your own appetite

Ingredients
Steps
-
First steam a pot of rice. While the rice is steaming, you can prepare other ingredients.
-
Next, peel the potatoes, slice them, and steam them in a steamer.
-
Then wash the peanuts, dry them with kitchen paper towels, and set aside.
-
After the oil is hot over low heat, stir-fry the peanuts until they change color and serve.
-
Remove from pan and cool.
-
Use a mortar to mash the peanuts, just pound them a few times without breaking them too much. Then wash the onions, peppers, coriander, spring onions, and lettuce leaves and drain them.
-
When the potatoes are cooked, mash them into puree and set aside.
-
Next, make an egg sauce, and briefly describe how to do it (heat oil in a pan, add egg liquid, chopped green onion, egg liquid is 8 minutes cooked, add two spoons of Haitian soybean paste, 1 small bowl of cold water, boil until the sauce is thick).
-
Cut onions, coriander, green onions, and peppers into small sections. Prepare all ingredients and get ready to eat.
-
There are two ways to eat it. I will talk about the first way first. First put the lettuce on the bottom layer, and then put the rice in sequence.
-
Mashed potatoes, green onions, coriander, onions, peppers, chopped peanuts, egg sauce, hug it, and it's ready to eat.
-
The second way to eat it is to put all the ingredients except the lettuce into a bowl and stir evenly.
-
Then put the evenly mixed rice on the lettuce leaves, wrap it up, and you can eat it.
