Overview

Pancake tubes are a snack here in Taizhou and are eaten every year and festival. Pancake tubes are the most common on the dining table during Chinese New Year and festivals. A table of dishes is always cooked, and then the family wraps the pancake tubes around the table. We usually wrap whatever is on the dining table, including fish, meat and vegetables. Nowadays, some breakfast spots also sell pancake cones, but they cost 3 yuan for a vegetarian version. The one I’m making now is a simple version. I stir-fry all the vegetables together and then wrap them up. It’s a quick and hygienic place to cook in the morning

  1. Shred the dried carrots and set aside

  4. Heat the pot, add the various cut shreds in sequence, and soak the rice noodles until soft first! Forgot to take a picture. Fry until cooked and set aside.

  5. Add flour to water to make a paste

  6. Heat the electric pan, add the batter, and spread into pancakes. Set aside.

  7. Put the fried stuffing into the pancake, roll it up, wrap it up, and it's ready to eat.
