Sautéed Konjac Tofu

Buy a piece of konjac tofu at the market or supermarket and set aside.

Drain the water and cut the tofu into uniformly sized pieces.

Chop the rice pepper, ginger, and chives and set aside.

Boil a pot of hot water.

Pour the chunks of konjac tofu into boiling water.

During the boiling process, add a few drops of rice vinegar to remove the earthy smell of the tofu for about 3-5 minutes. Remove and drain the water and set aside.

Pour appropriate amount of salad oil into the pot.

Heat until 70% to 80% hot and pour in appropriate amount of black bean sauce.

Stir-fry the black bean paste evenly.

Add the ingredients and stir-fry evenly.

Pour in the konjac tofu.

Stir-fry all ingredients evenly.

Add an appropriate amount of allspice powder. If you don’t have allspice powder, you can use thirteen spice or cumin powder instead.

Pour in appropriate amount of water.

Simmer for five to ten minutes.

When the juice is almost reduced, you can put it on the plate. You can also sprinkle some chives before eating.
