Prepare fresh chestnuts, use scissors to cut a cross shape on the hairy part of the chestnut (this will make the cooked chestnut easier to peel), put it in a pot and boil it for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes, immediately peel off the chestnut shell while it is still hot, and then cut into pieces with a knife or directly peel them by hand. The size of the chestnut pieces can be peeled according to personal preference.

When the porridge in the rice pot is boiling, put the prepared chestnut pieces into the pot and stir it a few times.
