Chicken soup wontons
Overview
When I was a child, when my family was making wontons and dumplings, I always liked to gather around the kitchen and watch my mother roll out the dough and wrap the fillings, and then imitate her in a decent way. Now that I have grown up, I finally have the same bag as my mother. I suddenly wanted to eat wontons today, so I started making them by myself. Finally, my mother came to help wrap them together. It felt like I was a kid again. Very warm! The chicken I used, I happened to have a chicken at home, so I removed it and used chopped chicken breast for stuffing and chicken legs to stew the soup. The soup is light and the wontons are fresh and salty.

Ingredients
Steps
-
First put the chicken legs into the pot, add water and ginger slices to stew the soup, and then add the wontons
-
Prepare onions, ginger, king oyster mushrooms, and chicken (I used shaved chicken breast meat to make the stuffing, but I didn’t take it in the photo. In fact, the filling used to make wontons is very small. You can buy separate chicken legs, shave the meat, then chop the stuffing, and stew the bones and skin in soup)
-
Mince the onion and ginger, mince the meat and king oyster mushroom
-
Add salt, five-spice powder, soy sauce and a little clear oil and mix well
-
Take flour and add appropriate amount of water to form a smooth dough, let it rest for a while
-
Roll the rested dough into a large dough
-
Then use a knife to pull it into a wide strip
-
Cut into trapezoids and the wonton wrappers are ready
-
Next, it’s time to wrap the wontons. First put a little filling on one end of the wrapper
-
Then gently roll it twice to wrap the filling
-
Pinch the two ends with both hands and pinch the two sides together.
-
Take out the chicken legs, add an appropriate amount of salt to the soup, make the soup a little lighter, add the wrapped wontons, and roll them twice until they are cooked
-
Put some seaweed and chopped green onion at the bottom of the bowl
-
Pour into the wontons and soup, sprinkle with coriander, and it’s delicious and ready to serve
