Overview

The starch in the recipe can make 6 bowls (the size of the bowl is 290ml as shown in the picture). Since there were only a few people in my family, I only used half of the starch to make 3 bowls, and the ingredients were also enough for three bowls. If making 6 bowls, add half the ingredients. Unfortunately, my husband didn’t buy the sauced beef well because it was too heavily stained.

  6. Then break the gluten into small pieces and throw them into the pot and bring to a boil. Stir them all with a spoon to prevent them from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

  8. Starch easily sinks to the bottom. Use a spoon to stir the starch up and down evenly before adding it to the pot. Add the starch water little by little with your left hand, and stir with a spoon in one direction with your right hand (I added 170 grams). The thickness should be determined according to personal preference.

  9. Then add an appropriate amount of salt, five-spice powder or thirteen spices, and soy sauce to season and color.

  10. Add pepper. You need to add more to bring out the flavor of spicy soup. The best way is to taste it yourself. NOTE: The amount in the picture is not enough.

  11. Turn off the heat and add appropriate amount of vinegar.
