Pour the raw pork ribs into water.

Peel the yam and cut it into diamond shapes. Add oil to the wok. Add the onion, ginger, garlic, pepper and bay leaves to the wok over low heat and stir-fry until fragrant. Put the ribs into the pot and stir-fry until there is no moisture, then add white wine, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce.

Add boiling water and stir-fry the ribs. Add salt and simmer over medium-low heat for an hour.

Add the yam and stew until soft and waxy. Turn off the heat, the fragrant braised pork ribs are ready. (I forgot to take pictures of the finished product, hehe)
