Yam and Cheese Rice Balls
Overview
When making glutinous rice balls this year, I will focus more on healthy fillings so that they are not burdensome to eat. The glutinous rice balls made today are made with yam and brown sugar as ingredients, and are paired with homemade fresh cheese. They are rich in milk, nutritious and healthy. They are a glutinous rice balls suitable for all ages.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Yams are steamed in a basket. Be sure to use iron rod yam, other yam has too much water.
-
Peel and crush into puree
-
Add brown sugar to yam puree and stir evenly.
-
Mix well.
-
Dice the cheese. The white cheese is fresh cheese that I just made myself, yellow cheddar cheese. My son prefers this kind of complex cheese. I have posted a post on how to make cheese before. If you like it, you can check it out
-
Dip your hands in some cooked flour, take a piece of yam filling, wrap it in a piece of diced cheese, and wrap it tightly
-
After everything is wrapped, place it in the refrigerator until hard. Because the yam filling is relatively soft, it is difficult to wrap without freezing
-
Add boiled water to the glutinous rice flour, stir while pouring the boiling water, and knead into a smooth dough, then cover with a wet drawer cloth and leave for 1 hour
-
Take out the frozen stuffing, take a piece of dough, flatten it and wrap it.
-
Wrapped glutinous rice balls, freeze them if you can’t finish them
-
Boil water into the pot and cook.
