Whole Wheat Green Pepper Pork Pie
Overview
There is also a box of minced meat and a few green peppers in the refrigerator, so let’s use them to make pies. The green pepper and pork stuffing can also be used to make dumplings, which are also very delicious~

Steps
-
The preparation materials are as shown in the figure
-
Chop the onion, ginger, and garlic into mince. Pour the minced onion, ginger, and garlic into the minced meat bowl. Add a spoonful of salt, 2 spoons of light soy sauce, 1 spoon of sesame oil, and an appropriate amount of black pepper
-
Use chopsticks to stir all the ingredients in one direction and marinate for 20-30 minutes
-
To knead the dough, I use whole wheat flour (usually ordinary flour will suffice), 120g whole wheat flour + 60g warm water (the dough must be kneaded with warm water to make the pie, so that the dough is soft enough). Slowly pour the water into the flour, knead it into a smooth dough, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 20-25 minutes
-
Use the free time to make the green pepper stuffing, chop the green peppers, put oil and a little Sichuan peppercorns in the wok, fry the Sichuan peppercorn oil, let it cool for 2-3 minutes, pour the Sichuan peppercorn oil onto the green peppercorns, mix gently, so that each green peppercorn is coated with the Sichuan peppercorns oil, so that the green peppers will not produce too much water (if you don’t eat Sichuan peppercorns, just use cooking oil)
-
Mix the meat filling and green peppercorns, mix well
-
Take out the rested dough, add flour, knead it into a long strip, divide it into several equal portions, and roll out the bun skin (the kind of rolling method where the middle is thicker than the periphery)
-
How to make steamed buns, add more fillings
-
Wrap it as you would a bun, and then flatten it slightly (whole wheat flour doesn’t have as much gluten as ordinary flour, so the edges don’t look good, but it doesn’t affect eating~)
-
Brush a layer of oil on the pan, put the wrapped pie into the pan, turn it over medium-low heat, wait until it is slightly set, turn over, cover the pan, wait for about 3-5 minutes, then turn over
-
After 3-5 minutes of flipping, uncover the pan and wait until both sides are bright yellow. At this time, the aroma of green peppers and meat can be smelled. The oil and water in the filling begins to seep out into the crust, and it is completely cooked
