Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in water for more than 2 hours in advance;

Clean the lotus root and peel off the skin.

Cut off a section of one end with a knife (retain the lotus root tip), about 2 cm thick, and then rinse the lotus root eye repeatedly to remove the silt inside the lotus root.

Fill the soaked glutinous rice into the lotus root, and use bamboo chopsticks to make it firmer while filling.

After filling, cover the cut lotus root tip over the original incision and secure it with toothpicks.

Put the stuffed glutinous rice lotus root into the pot, pour water to cover the lotus root, add three spoons of brown sugar and 6 red dates, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat and simmer for half an hour. After half an hour, add three rock sugars and cook over low heat for about a quarter of an hour.

The cooked lotus root can be pierced gently with chopsticks and turn red.

Take out the cooked glutinous rice lotus root and let it cool for a while before slicing it and eating it. When eating, pour the honey juice mixed with sugar osmanthus and honey on top, which is very sweet and glutinous.
