Blanch beef ribs in Shuibunchuan to remove blood, wait until cool and cut into small pieces for later use

Put the spices into the tea ball net: star anise + cumin

Chop the onion; slice the ginger, peel and cut the radish into cubes; sauté the onion and ginger over low heat until brown. ♥ The orthodox method is to roast the onion and galangal first and then cook them in the pot. If you are lazy, just stir-fry them instead.

Add half a pot of water and bring to a boil over high heat

Add beef cubes and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes

Add the white radish and cook for another 20 minutes. Add a little basil and bring to a boil before serving. Add fish sauce to taste and serve.
