Wash the ribs, put them in a pot of cold water and boil them, take them out and wash them again. Peel the burdock, cut it into cubes and soak it in vinegar-added water to prevent oxidation. Soak the barley for half a day in advance, and cut the carrots into cubes.

Put the ribs, burdock, ginger, and carrots into a bowl, add a little sugar and an appropriate amount of salt.

Then add barley.

Add appropriate amount of water (water should be added enough at one time).

Add water to the inner pot to cover the water level before adding the cup. Put into two small cups. (You can also use another large cup. In fact, the small cup is not too small. A small cup of soup is enough for my son and I to have a meal.)

Close the lid of the small cup and pour water along the lid.

Close the lid.

Choose slow cooker for 2 and a half hours.
