Overview
The official roasted fish is unique to Tianjin cuisine and is a traditional famous dish of Tianjin flavor. This dish was originally called Shaomu Fish Sticks. Once when Emperor Qianlong came to Tianjin and stayed at the Wanshou Palace, Emperor Qianlong appreciated the Shaomu Fish Sticks the most after tasting the sumptuous imperial meal. This dish is light yellow in color, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sauce contains the main ingredients and is salty, sweet and slightly sour. The color, shape, taste and fragrance are good. The chef's cooking skills surpass those of the masters of the imperial kitchen in the capital. After the imperial conferment, he was given the title of official Shaomuyu, and it has been passed down to this day.
