Dorayaki

Overview

Dorayaki, also called golden cake, is named Dorayaki because it is made up of two cakes that look like gongs. It is a dessert with baked dough and red bean paste filling inside. It is also a traditional Japanese pastry. Use Dongling breakfast machine to fry a few pieces of cake crust, then add the remaining fillings from making moon cakes. It is very delicious.

  1. Pour the eggs into a mixing bowl, add the sugar and stir evenly.

  2. Pour in the honey and stir evenly.

  3. Pour in the milk and mix well

  4. Pour in the melted butter and mix well

  5. Sift in baking soda, baking powder and cake flour and mix well.

  6. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for 20 minutes.

  7. Preheat the breakfast machine to low heat, scoop a spoonful of batter and place it in the center. The batter will slowly flow into a round shape. The batter will start to bubble. When the bubbles break, turn it over.

  8. Flip and fry for 20 seconds. If you want the crust to be nice and smooth, you can fry one pancake at a time and use a wet towel to cool the pan.

  9. Add red bean filling and it's ready to eat.
