Toothpick meat
Overview
I grilled some toothpick meat and it tasted pretty good. When I was a child, my family rarely bought meat because my mother didn’t like to eat meat and didn’t cook it very much. I remember eating something called toothpick meat when I was a guest at a relative’s house when I was a child. The relative’s house also bought it. I don’t know if you have seen it elsewhere. It is quite popular here, but it is not the oven version of toothpick meat now. Toothpick meat at that time was not meat, but rather made from meat fillings or minced meat. It may be called irregularly shaped meatballs. It was wrapped in sesame seeds and bright red in color. It was eaten with a toothpick. It was slightly sweet and tasted like lunch meat, but it was not baked. Later, this kind of toothpick meat disappeared. I haven’t eaten it again for so many years. I don’t know how to make it. I can only swallow my saliva after recalling it. Although it has not replicated the toothpick meat of the past, the oven version of toothpick meat is now very delicious and easy to make. My little guy loves it.
