Braised vegetarian chicken with bacon
Overview
Last night, a relative sent home-made bacon. I searched for some vegetarian chickens at home and used them to go with it

Steps
-
Prepare the ingredients: A relative said that the meat she pickled was not very salty, so I washed it and used it directly. If the ones I bought were salty, soak them in warm water in advance; soak the mushrooms in advance
-
Slice bacon, cut vegetarian chicken, cut mushrooms into cubes, cut green peppers into cubes, and other ingredients as shown
-
Put oil in the pot, add the vegetarian chicken pieces, fry until slightly brown, and remove.
-
Add oil to the pot, stir-fry the onions, ginger, dried chili peppers, and star anise, then add the bacon and mushrooms and stir-fry quickly.
-
Pour in enough water to cover all the ingredients, add half a teaspoon each of dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, and oyster sauce, and a small amount of sugar to taste. Cover the pot and boil the water, then cook for two minutes until the meat is fragrant.
-
Add the fried vegetarian chicken, cover the pot and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes
-
When the soup is not too much, add green peppers, turn to high heat to reduce the juice. The saltiness of the bacon and seasonings is just right. No need to add salt. Just add a small amount of chicken essence and take it out of the pot.
