Wormwood chiffon cake
Overview
Mugwort has very good medicinal value, including antifungal effects, antiasthmatic effects, choleretic effects, inhibiting platelet aggregation, hemostatic effects, effects on the gastrointestinal tract and uterus, effects on the cardiovascular system, and anti-allergic effects. Today I used mugwort powder to make a mugwort chiffon cake. Because I didn’t want the color to be too dark, I didn’t soak the mugwort powder in water and sprinkled some mugwort powder directly. The effect was also very good.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare all ingredients, separate egg yolks from egg whites and set aside.
-
Pour milk and corn into a small basin.
-
Beat gently until emulsified.
-
Sift in low-gluten flour and mugwort powder, beat with an egg beater to make a "Z" and mix well.
-
Add the egg yolk and beat the egg beater again to make a "Z" and mix well.
-
Add a few drops of lemon juice to the egg whites, beat with an electric egg beater until fish-eye bubbles form, then add one-third of the caster sugar, be sure to scrape the edges of the bowl clean, and then continue to beat. The egg whites begin to become fine, add the remaining half of the caster sugar, and continue to beat. When the egg whites become thicker and start to have lines, add the remaining caster sugar, and slowly add the remaining caster sugar until the beater feels resistance and has small upright corners.
-
Take out the prepared mugwort egg yolk paste, add one-third of the meringue, make a "Z" with an egg beater and mix well, then add another third of the meringue and mix well again.
-
When the meringue is no longer visible, stir until the meringue is no longer visible, then pour the mixed batter back into the remaining meringue, and mix well in the same way.
-
Pour the prepared batter into the mold, shake it a few times and place it on the baking sheet.
-
Place in a preheated oven at 150 degrees Celsius and 140 degrees Celsius, and bake for 35 minutes. After baking is completed, take out the mold immediately, unmold and let cool for storage. (Preheat the oven in advance at your own pace, at least ten minutes).
