Cut the vanilla seeds and pods into fine pieces with a knife, put them into a milk pot, heat over low heat until it boils slightly, then remove from the heat, cover with a lid, and simmer for 5-8 minutes; then filter out the pods and vanilla seeds, and let cool naturally.
