Prepare ingredients

Shred the onion and shred the ginger and set aside

Pour 300 ml of oil into the pot and fry onions, ginger, star anise and peppercorns

Fry until onions are browned

Remove all ingredients, turn off heat and set aside

Add sesame seeds and two teaspoons of cold oil to the chili powder and mix well

Pour in one-third of the oil and mix well (not too hot, cool the oil until it is 50% hot)

After two minutes, pour all the oil into the bowl

It is best to let the prepared chili oil sit for 12 hours before eating (because letting it stand for 12 hours will release all the red capsaicin in the pepper)

The prepared chili oil can be stored for half a month to twenty days
