Braised pork ribs with rice
Overview
If you want to satisfy your appetite without taking too much time, you must have both meat and vegetables. No, this pot of fragrant pork ribs and carrots braised rice is ready! The ribs are taken from the rib position and chopped into small pieces with a knife. Even the nutrition and aroma of the red marrow in the bones can penetrate into the rice grains. The amount of pork ribs does not need to be large. I only used 360 grams, which is enough for a family of four. Put carrots in rice, both nutritious and delicious. If you have green beans or peas at home, put a small bowl of them which tastes delicious and looks good. I don’t have these green beans at home, so I cut a cucumber, poured it in when it was out of the pot, and stirred evenly. The fresh fragrance and green color of the cucumber are well retained.

Steps
-
Chop the ribs into small pieces and wash away the remaining bone residue. Be sure to clean them well
-
Put it into a pot of cold water, bring it to a boil, use chopsticks to hold it and rinse it in the pot a few times, so there is no need to rinse it with additional water
-
Put an appropriate amount of rice into the rice cooker pot, according to your own consumption. Wash it twice and then add cold water. The amount of water is one-third less than the amount of water you usually use to cook rice. Soak for a few minutes to allow the rice grains to fully absorb the water
-
Wash the carrots and cucumbers, scrape off the skin of the carrots, cut them into any size, and cut the cucumber into small dices
-
Pour a little oil into the wok, stir-fry the garlic until fragrant, then add the ribs and carrots to the wok and stir-fry
-
Add salt and soy sauce as you usually do when stewing ribs, so that each piece of meat can absorb the color of the soy sauce. It is best to add more salt, because the amount of rice also needs to be taken into account
-
Pour in hot water, not too much, just enough to cook the ribs. Too much water will make the rice grains stick to lumps. Just two minutes is enough to allow the ribs to color
-
Pour the ribs, carrots and soup onto the rice in the rice cooker without turning
-
Just choose the standard rice setting, or you can adjust it according to your own rice cooker
-
Time’s up, the fragrant pork ribs and carrot braised rice is ready
-
Pour the diced cucumbers into the pot, stir evenly with a rice spoon and enjoy
