First cut the pumpkin into thin slices and put it in a small bowl, then steam it in a pot and finally mash it into puree and set aside

The pumpkin needs to be mashed while it's hot, and then an appropriate amount of glutinous rice flour is added to knead it into a smooth dough (actually, I originally added baking powder to make steamed buns, but I mistakenly mistook glutinous rice flour for flour), but the effect is pretty good. Then knead it into small balls 🍘 and make cross cuts on the surface. (Pumpkin is a watery, sweet fruit and vegetable. So adding sugar when kneading the dough depends on your personal preference for sweetness. There is no need to add water.)
