Homemade cherry jam
Overview
During the cherry harvest season, the wild cherries sent by my friends were sour and a little too small, so I used them to make cherry jam. It was very good, sour and sweet, and went great with bread for breakfast.

Picked fresh cherries

Soak in flour for 20 minutes and rinse repeatedly

Put the big stuff into the pot and bring to a boil, then simmer slowly over low heat

Cook until the cherries are soft and rotten, then filter out the cherry seeds

Filtered cherry juice

Add rock sugar and continue to simmer over low heat

Cook until thickened and turn off heat

Remove from the pan.
