Overview

When the weather gets colder, I tend to crave for some heavy-flavored dishes, such as braised food. Thinking about the past, my mother would make braised vegetables every now and then. While the dishes are still cooked, the unique and rich aroma of the braised sauce can float into the corridor. After it is served on the table, nothing else is needed, and it is a smooth meal.

  1. The eggs are cooked ahead of time. Immediately rinse with cold water after cooking. After that, gently press the skin on the chopping board with your hands and then peel it off to make it easier to peel off.

  2. Take another pot, add water, add chicken wings, boil for 5 minutes and take out.

  3. Add chicken wings, eggs, sauce, and other ingredients to the pot. Add water again until the water covers half of the chicken wings and eggs.

  4. Prepare the sauce. Add light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, salt, and sugar to the bowl and mix well.

  6. Cook on high heat for 10 minutes, then reduce to low heat and cook for 20 minutes. Open the lid and turn on high heat to collect the juice.
