Home-pickled xuelihong and stewed tofu with xuelihong in Northeast China are also our famous dishes. Just like stewed vermicelli with pickled cabbage, it is soft and fragrant after being stewed.

Home-pickled xuelihong, cut into small pieces and soaked in water for 5 hours, then drained and set aside.

Pork slices should be slightly fatter, as potherb is more oil-absorbent.

Add an appropriate amount of cooking oil to the pot, add the meat slices and stir-fry to remove the fat.

Add onion, ginger, star anise, and peppercorns and stir-fry until fragrant.

Add snow red and stir-fry for a while.

Add an appropriate amount of water, a little more water, and the snow red stew will be softer and more delicious.

When the red hot meat in the snow is stewed and is soft and glutinous, cut the tofu into small pieces and add it to the stew. Continue simmering for fifteen minutes. Add a fresh soy sauce to freshen it before serving.
