Glaze glutinous rice balls
Overview
This year’s Lantern Festival coincides with Valentine’s Day in the West, and such a day won’t happen until 2033. So for this year’s glutinous rice dumplings, I wanted to break the tradition of only making white glutinous rice dumplings. I learned from everyone’s innovation and made a glaze glutinous rice dumpling. Unexpectedly, it was well received by my family, which doubled my confidence in cooking delicious food! Add boiling water to the glutinous rice flour and knead it until it is not sticky to your hands and is pliable. Then divide it into four balls. Add an appropriate amount of matcha powder, red yeast rice powder and cocoa powder to three of the balls to form three-color glutinous rice balls.

Take a small portion of each color and roll it into a long strip, then twist them together into a twist

Cut into small balls of the same size and flatten

Wrap in the pre-prepared fillings. I made a two-color one first. Anyway, I can feel free to use it.

Cut the carrots into patterns and put the prepared glazed glutinous rice balls on the bottom. After the water boils, steam for 10 minutes
