  1. Mix powdered sugar and almond powder and sift together. Set aside.

  2. Take another bowl, add half of the caster sugar to the egg whites, and beat at low speed until large bubbles form.

  3. Add the other half of the caster sugar and beat at high speed until stiff peaks form.

  4. Add the well-mixed almond flour to the egg whites in two batches and stir gently until smooth.

  5. Divide the batter into two parts, add coloring to one part, and stir into a uniform gray batter.

  6. Put the primary color and gray batter into two piping bags.

  7. Squeeze out a round batter on a silicone mat and let it dry in a ventilated place until it forms a non-sticky shell. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and bake for about 20 minutes. Try not to open the oven during this period. After baking, take it out and let it cool completely before demolding.

  8. While cooling prepare the frosting. Place powdered sugar and egg whites in a large bowl.

  9. Beat with an electric mixer on high speed for about 10 minutes.

  10. Add an appropriate amount of white icing sugar to a piping bag and pipe bellies and eyes on the macarons.

  11. Add an appropriate amount of coloring to the remaining frosting, mix evenly into dark gray and light gray frosting, and put into a piping bag.

  12. Use light gray to draw the pattern on the belly, and black to draw the eyes, beard, and nose.
