Wash the beans and cut off both ends for better flavor

Add water to the pot to cover the beans, add star anise, peppercorns, bay leaves, green onion segments, ginger slices, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, salt. After the water boils, turn to medium heat and cook for five minutes. Do not cover the pot lid, so that the cooked beans will not turn yellow.

Turn off the heat and soak for about half an hour to get a stronger flavor.
