It’s Christmas next month, let’s make Santa’s snacks first, hehe

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare 400 grams of all-purpose flour
-
grams of yeast, 40 grams of sugar, add 220 grams of warm water and mix well
-
Take out 200g of all-purpose flour and add 1g of red yeast rice powder
-
Add half of the yeast mixture that was mixed before and mix it into a flocculus
-
Take another 20 grams of all-purpose flour from the remaining 200 grams, add 1 gram of cocoa powder, add the remaining 1/10 of the yeast mixture, and stir into a floc
-
Add the remaining yeast mixed liquid to the remaining 180 grams of all-purpose flour, stir it into a floc first, and then knead the dough to form the dough in the picture. Knead the flour with red yeast powder as well to form a red dough
-
Knead the flour with cocoa powder into a brown dough
-
Wrap the three pieces of dough with plastic wrap and put them in a warm place to ferment for about 1 hour
-
After fermentation, sprinkle some dry flour on the cutting board. Knead the white dough first. After kneading, divide it into 8 parts, 4 of which are Santa Claus’s faces and the other 4 are Santa Claus’ beards. Cover the red dough and brown dough and set aside
-
Roll 4 pieces of dough into a round shape and flatten them. These are the 4 faces of Santa Claus
-
Knead the red dough in the same way and divide it into 5 parts, 4 of which are the same size, and the other 1 is smaller. The 4 larger parts are for 4 Santa Claus hats, and the 1 smaller part is for 4 Santa Claus noses. Roll out the 4 larger parts of dough in order
-
Fold the rolled out dough
-
Glue it on the white round dough with water and pinch the top of the hat with your hands
-
Make the second Santa hat in the same way (since the steamer is not big, I made two Santa Clauses first, a total of 4)
-
Take a little bit of dough from the remaining 4 pieces of white dough, roll it out flat, use scissors to cut out the eyebrows, and glue them on the face with water
-
Finally, knead the brown dough to make Santa Claus eyes and glue them on the face with water
-
Make 4 Santa Claus noses from the remaining small piece of red dough and glue them on the faces with water
-
Roll out the remaining 4 pieces of white dough
-
Fold into the shape as shown
-
Use scissors to cut a beard and stick it on your face with water
-
The two Santa Clauses are ready first (you will make the other two later with the same method), apply olive oil on the plate, and put the two Santa Clauses on the plate
-
Boil the water in the steamer, put it into a plate, and steam over medium heat for 15-20 minutes. Generally, turn off the heat and simmer for 5 minutes before opening the lid so that the surface of the dough will not wrinkle. Since I want the hat to be a little wrinkled, after steaming, I lift the lid of the hat a little bit and then put it back on to make it look like the hat has a little wrinkles, which is more realistic. Of course, the face should be smooth, haha

It’s steamed, so cute
