Dried octopus and mussel bone soup
Overview
Some time ago, I was taking care of my sister-in-law who was in confinement at home. This was a nourishing soup specially made for her to replenish qi and blood and promote lactation. Octopus has the functions of replenishing blood and replenishing qi, astringing muscle and promoting muscle growth, nourishing yin and nourishing the stomach, nourishing deficiency and moisturizing the skin. It is best eaten by those with weak constitution, especially those with deficiency of both qi and blood. Octopus is rich in calcium, phosphorus and iron, which is very beneficial to bone development and hematopoiesis. It can prevent anemia, relieve fatigue, restore vision and improve liver function. Mussels are a common seafood food. Mussels have high nutritional value and contain a variety of vitamins and trace elements. Since fresh mussel meat is not easy to preserve, it is often cooked and dried to make mussels. When purchasing dried mussels, it is better to choose ones that are medium in size and dark yellow in color. Mussels have the effect of treating spleen damage caused by fatigue, lack of essence and blood, vomiting blood and prolonged diarrhea, bowel sounds and low back pain.
