Taiyaki
Overview
It’s been almost a year since I bought this Taiyaki mold, and there are many different molds sold by the same company in TB. I was lazy and made them a few times and left them idle in the corner of the kitchen. I feel a little sorry when I think about it. It’s time to let them show their faces and bask in the sun. The filling is red bean paste made by yourself, and you can also add any filling you like, such as sesame or cream~~ It should be solid and easier to handle. This recipe adds some honey. It's not particularly soft when cold, but it's still very sweet. Next time I will try the savory fillings and serve the sweet version first.

-
Mix evenly and put into a measuring cup that is easy to use;
-
Divide the bean paste into about 18 grams each, cut into small pieces for later use, and place them on plastic wrap for easy access;
-
Place the Taiyaki mold on the gas stove and preheat both sides over medium heat, and brush it with a little butter (I put a heat conductor plate on the gas stove so that it can be heated evenly, and the color of the fish will be even and beautiful. If you don't have children's shoes, please be careful to move the mold left and right from time to time when baking, which also serves the purpose of even heating);
-
Pour a small amount of batter as shown in the picture. Do not add batter to the fish tail yet;
-
Fill a piece of filling and lay it flat in the center, otherwise the filling will be easily exposed;
-
Pour the batter into the filling to cover the surface of the filling and the fish tail. The corners of the fish tail will be covered with water so that the appearance will be complete and beautiful;
-
Close the mold, heat over medium-low heat for about 30 seconds, then turn over, heat for about 1 minute, and then turn over for another 30 seconds. You can try opening it first to check the degree of browning, and then continue to heat until both sides are golden brown.

Take it out and place it on a drying rack to cool.
