  1. Cut the green onions into flowers, mince the ginger, shred the cabbage, and soak the shrimps in boiling water.

  2. Add more oil (available in meat supermarkets) and stir-fry the white noodles over low heat. Don't stir-fry the noodles. This is where the soup becomes thicker.

  3. Add chopped green onion and minced garlic, and pour boiling water.

  4. Add the shrimp and cabbage, turn to high heat and simmer, then turn the water to medium to low heat and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.

  5. Before serving, add salt and chicken essence according to taste.
