Steps

  1. Wash the small pomfret, make a few cuts on both sides of the fish body, sprinkle with peppercorns, star anise, salt, green onion, ginger and cooking wine, mix well, and marinate for 15 minutes.

  2. Fry the small pomfret until golden brown on both sides and remove.

  3. Leave the base oil in the pot, add dried chili peppers, onions, ginger, and garlic and stir-fry. Add dark soy sauce, vinegar, cooking wine, white sugar, and a small amount of water. When the water boils, add the small pomfret and cook for 5 minutes.

  4. Serve on a platter.
