Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in water for 4 hours in advance.

Chop the pork into mince, preferably 30% fat and 70% lean.

Add salt, ginger powder, five-spice powder, sesame oil, light soy sauce, cooking wine, minced green onion, one egg white and appropriate amount of starch. Stir in one direction with chopsticks until stiff. Marinate for half a hour. If it is too dry during filling, you can add some water.

I cut some carrot slices and put them under the meatballs. You can use them without carrots, but you need to apply a little oil on the plate to prevent them from sticking.

Wear disposable gloves and shape the minced meat into balls.

Put the meatballs into the glutinous rice and roll them so that the surface of the meatballs is evenly covered with a layer of glutinous rice.
