Shredded radish with scallion oil
Overview
As the saying goes, eat radish in winter and ginger in summer, and you will find fewer doctors prescribing medicine. Elderly people often use this sentence to describe the therapeutic effect of radish in their winter diet. This is because white radish has the effects of clearing away heat and promoting fluid production, cooling blood and stopping bleeding, lowering qi and widening the middle qi, digesting food and resolving stagnation, appetizing and strengthening the spleen, smoothing qi and resolving phlegm.
