Potato braised rice
Overview
When I first met my husband, I didn’t know how to cook. The first trick I learned in the food world was this. I cooked the meals together, which is more suitable for lazy people. This time I didn’t make it very successfully, mainly because I ran out of curry, and using five-spice powder instead always felt too inconsistent.

Two measuring cups of rice and two measuring cups of water are enough for normal braised rice.

Cut the potatoes into small pieces one or two centimeters wide.

Add to the pot with chopped green onion and five-spice powder.

Add a small amount of cooking oil. I feed it to my kids, so it’s better if it’s lighter. Young people who have more discerning tastes can stir-fry the above ingredients in oil before putting them in the pot, which will make them more fragrant and tasty.

The Arctic shrimp sent by a friend was excellent. To make up for the lack of curry, it would be nice to add some Arctic shrimp.

This quality is better if eaten directly.

Peel off the skin and put it in the pot. Children may not eat shrimp skin when they are young. In fact, these small shrimps are very crispy when eaten together.
