Steps

  1. Wash the edamame and use scissors to cut off 2 ends of the edamame to make it easier to taste;

  2. Put it in the pot and add water to cover the edamame;

  3. Put one star anise, one grass fruit, and some bay leaves into the pot;

  4. Add another spoonful of salt and adjust the amount of salt yourself;

  5. Bring to a boil over high heat and cook for 6 minutes;

  6. After turning off the heat, in order to allow the edamame to absorb the flavor, place a plate on top to hold the edamame down so that it does not float. After the edamame is flavored, it can be plated and eaten.
