Soak the rice in water for half an hour. You can soak it in advance. Find a basin to put the rice water in, so you can wash your hands.

Prepare a pumpkin and cut it into half. I used a quarter here.

Pumpkins are really difficult to cut, so be careful.

Put the cut pumpkin into a pot and steam it for about fifteen minutes, then it will become pureed.

Use various tools to mash the steamed pumpkin.

Put the rice and pumpkin together, add a little more water, otherwise it will be too thick after a while, and then add sugar. Add it here according to taste. You can taste it in the middle and it will be ready when it is cooked.
