Overview
I steamed another piece of rice cake using the same ingredients and the same method. This piece of rice cake came out perfectly, with a much smoother surface.

Cold brown sugar water and a pound of weighed glutinous rice flour

Prepare a steamer, cover it with cloth and tie it with rope.

After adding oil to brown sugar water and stirring, add sifted glutinous rice flour and stir evenly. If there will be some lumps, use a spoon to break them up. It will probably look like yogurt. If it is too thick, add cold boiled water.

After the water boils, you can pour it into the steamer. After steaming for half an hour, open it and stir it with chopsticks once. Steam for another half hour and stir for the second time. Then steam for another half hour. There will be less water after steaming for a long time, so have boiling water ready and can add it at any time.

Finally, it's steamed and left to harden, then you can take it out, tear it out of cloth and cut into pieces, dip it in eggs and fry it, it's delicious.
