I used cake mix (ホットケーキ) bought in Japan, which contains matcha honey. There seems to be similar cake mix available in Guneri Supermarket. Matcha honey can be made at home: matcha powder + honey.

  8. Sprinkle chopped chestnuts into the prepared cake batter and mix well. As for the amount, feel free to use it. I like chestnuts very much, so I added 4 tablespoons.
