Chestnut matcha hot cake
Overview
I used cake mix (ホットケーキ) bought in Japan, which contains matcha honey. There seems to be similar cake mix available in Guneri Supermarket. Matcha honey can be made at home: matcha powder + honey.

I found the chestnuts my mother bought N months ago in the freezer and got rid of them quickly😄

Put the frozen chestnuts in the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 10 minutes. If you have fresh chestnuts at home, you can skip this step.

Peel the roasted chestnuts.

Crush the chestnut meat with a spoon. However, don’t break it too much ~ it’s slightly larger and tastes better.

Stir together cake mix, matcha honey and milk.

Sprinkle chopped chestnuts into the prepared cake batter and mix well. As for the amount, feel free to use it. I like chestnuts very much, so I added 4 tablespoons.

Heat a non-stick pan and add oil.

Pour in the mixed cake liquid and fry slowly over medium-low heat.

When one side turns brown, flip over and continue frying over medium-low heat.

Be sure to fry slowly and patiently over medium-low heat, otherwise it will easily burn.

When eating, spread the golden osmanthus sauce pickled 2 weeks ago, which is sweet and delicious.
